- July 5: MANNA FoodBank
Non-profit working to end food insecurity in the 16 counties of Western North Carolina, linking the food industry to over 200 partner pantries and other human service organizations to get food to thousands of families’ tables.
- July 11: Asheville Humane Society
Open-admission shelter in Buncombe County dedicated to promoting compassionate treatment of animals through sheltering, education and adoption.
- July 19: Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity
Over the next decade, Asheville Habitat will empower another 1,000 families in the region to improve their housing and build strong, stable futures. Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-resilience to build a better life for themselves and families.
- July 25: Brother Wolf Animal Rescue
Brother Wolf Animal Rescue supports the community with adoption and pet retention programs, fostering opportunities and continued care for animals with nowhere else to turn.
- August 2: Verner Center for Early Learning
Verner Center provides high quality, affordable early care and education to over 300 children, striving to build a community where every child has the opportunity to thrive through holistic learning environments.
- August 8: MAHEC {Mountain Area Health Education Center}
MAHEC improves training and retention of health care professionals across Western North Carolina. They are dedicated to excellence in clinical care, health professions education and innovate practices that can be replicated nationally.
- August 16: LEAF Global Arts
LEAF Global Arts’ mission is to connect cultures and create community through world music, arts education, preservation and experiences.
